of 2004 German Critics Award for Crime Fiction
Christopher G. Moore’s detective novel Stunde Null in Phnom Penh (original English version: Zero Hour in Phnom Penh or Cut Out) has won the prestigious German Critics Award for Crime Fiction for the year 2004 in the category of best international crime fiction, making him the first Canadian novelist to have won this award. Previous international winners of the same award include: Dennis Lehane, Ian Rankin, Michael Connelly, Elmore Leonard, James Ellroy, James Lee Burke, John le Carré, Carl Hiaasen, and Joseph Wambaugh.
